CT.   Abbott’s has been voted one of the best lobster shacks in New

England. We will be dining next to the scenic harbor, on a dock where

you can watch the boats on the Mystic River, while you enjoy your

lunch.  Your entrée options include a choice of steamed lobster or herb

roasted chicken, served complete with all the trimmings.

After lunch, we will head over to Mohegan Sun Casino. Here you will

receive a casino package including a food credit. Enjoy several hours of

We will depart from the Center in route to the Big Apple.  When we

arrive we will enjoy lunch at the famous Italian restaurant CARMINE’S.

Your meal will be served family-style with platters of Rigatoni &

Broccoli and Chicken Marsala.  After we fill our stomachs we will head

over to Radio City Music Hall. Here we will sit back and relax and watch

the Rockettes perform there energetic, precision dancing and a classic

meets contemporary musical that awakens the imagination.  The show is

choreographed by Mia Michaels, well-known for her work on Fox’s So

You Think You Can Dance.

 

 

Block Island Beaches, Bluffs & Bays

We will head en route to Point Judith, RI where we will travel by Ferry to Block Island, RI.  Once called

“just a little sandy spot,” this island is blessed with beaches, seas, gently rolling hillsides with dotted

wildflowers, hollows crisscrossed with rambling stone fences, water ponds and quaint architecture that is

vintage Victorian. We will have a local guide meet the bus and give us a narrated tour of the island. Along

the way we will stop at the National Hotel for a complete luncheon consisting of a choice of Herb Baked

Salmon, Pan Fried Chicken or a Jumbo Crab cake, each served with all the trimmings. After lunch we will

finish our tour and return to the mainland by ferry. You won’t want to miss this memorable day on Block

Enjoy a four day excursion to the famous walled city of Quebec. Our home for the next 3 three nights will be in Quebec City at the Lindbergh Hotel. Upon arrival we will check in and have dinner at Normandin.

Day Two we will have breakfast then head out for a Sightseeing Tour of Historic And Modern Quebec. We will stop at the Palace Royale for a great lunch on your own. Our local guide will then assist us in the afternoon during our free time with the various activities available during the Tall Ships Festival. Dinner will be at L’improviste in the heart of Old Quebec.

Day Three after enjoying a continental breakfast, included, we will attend the “Parade of the Sailors”, where there will be approx. 3000 participants parading. Lunch will be on your own. Warner Theatre presents “Follies”

First we will start off with lunch (included) at San Marino restaurant.  You will enjoy a choice of Veal Parmigiana, Stuffed Sole, or Chicken Marsala, served with all the trimmings. After lunch we will head over to the Warner Theatre in Torrington. Here you will enjoy a matinee performance of the musical “Follies” with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. The show is about a reunion of past performers of the 1940’s “Weismann’s Follies”. The reunion takes place in a crumbling Broadway theatre where they initially performed, which is now scheduled for demolition. The focus is on two couples attending the reunion, whose wives were former showgirls. These couples are very unhappy in their marriages. The drama includes a husband having an affair with a young woman, and a wife who is in love with her friend’s husband, and a self-absorbed husband and an emotionally abandoned wife.  There is plenty of drama!!  Some songs you’ll remember: “Broadway Baby”, “I’m Still Here”, “Could I Leave You” and “Losing My Mind”.

This dinner theatre is unique.  Here you will first enjoy a great buffet where they offer a large variety of hot and cold foods, main entrees, side dishes, beverages, and yummy homemade desserts. This comedy, “Lunch with Mrs. Baskins” has a nice touch of romance.  Mrs Baskins, a retired widow, continuously sets up appointments with sales people solely to have lunch and conversation with them in her home. Two young sales people Terry and Kira, one of which is very successful in selling and the other one not has just learned her fiancée is cheating on her when they accidently meet in Mrs. Baskins apartment. Although neither have any intent on a relationship, Mrs Baskin thinks otherwise! Following the play sit back and relax for further entertainment with music and laughter.
