Today we will head for the Newport Playhouse and Cabaret Restaurant. Here we will enjoy a great buffet, a wonderful play and an fun filled cabaret. The Lobsterfest Menu includes 1 1/4 lb. Boiled Live Lobster, Shrimp Cocktail, Mussels in Wine, New England Clam Chowder, Corn on the Cob, Roasted Chicken, BBQ Chicken, Creole Shrimp and Rice, a variety of potatoes, salads, watermelon and desserts. After lunch, we will enjoy some of the finest entertainment available, with professional actors to delight you. Today’s play is called Self-Help. It is the story about 2 struggling actors, Hal and Cindy Savage who reinvent themselves as self-help gurus and they become the world’s most revered relationship experts. Unfortunately, while their careers skyrocket, their marriage nosedives, and they try to protect their reputations. Following the play you will go back to the dining room for a delightful Cabaret for music and laughter.

This morning we will be going to East Falmouth, MA for the 48th Annual Scallop Festival. which is held on the Cape Cod Fairgrounds. The Scallop Festival offers famous scallops, arts and crafts fair, rides, games, live music and more! Included in your admission ticket is a choice of Fried Scallops or a Herb-roasted Chicken dinner, served with French Fries, Cole Slaw, Roll and Butter, plus a choice of soda. You can enjoy your meal in the Big Tent with entertainment or take your meal outside and enjoy the view of the Cape Cod Canal and the famous Railroad Bridge. After exploring the Festival, we will depart for our Mystery Destination! We’ll keep you guessing, but we promise it’s a day you won’t want to miss

Today we will be traveling to New York City where we will have lunch at the Heartland Brewery. Here you will enjoy a choice of New York Strip Steak or Chicken Marsala, served with all the trimmings. After lunch we will visit The Intrepid Sea, and the Air & Space Museum. This Getaway is out of this world-you certainly won’t want to miss it!!
The Center is also fortunate to be able to use the City’s Van for some day trips. The Van only has seating for 10 people so you need to sign up early. The trips scheduled are as follows:
July 17th Madison Hotel Restaurant - Enjoy a lunch on your own and a walk on the beach Transportation cost $ 11.00.
July 31st Chowder Pot Restaurant– Come and enjoy a day out at a great seafood Lunch. Lunch is on your own. Transportation cost $ 10.00.
July 26th– Ivoryton Playhouse- see the classic Musical West Side Story. Price for Transportation and show is $ 50.00. Lunch will be on your own.
August 14th– Jimmies Restaurant– come and enjoy a dayout at the beach and a good luncheon on your own. Price for Transportation $ 10.00.

Today we will head for the beautiful Green Mountain State. The first stop will be the Kringle Candle Company in Bernardstown, MA. The Candle Store has over 200 fragrances. The Country Barn features gifts, gourmet food items and sweets, olive oils and teas, country home décor, jewelry, bath and body and more. Then for those that have a sweet tooth we will go to the Chocolate Cottage which has a wide selection of chocolates, fudge, and candies and also offers samples of its goodies!
Now don’t fill up on candy, because our next stop is the New England House for Lunch. Here you may choose from the following entrees: New England Beef Pot Roast, Orange Tarragon Salmon or Butternut Squash Ravioli.
The last stop will be the Apple Barn and Country Bake Shop in Bennington, VT. What a better way to experience Vermont products and souvenirs, country bake shop, café and ice cream parlor and, of course, their own home grown apples and berries~! Included in this visit will be a delicious slice of apple pie a la mode that you can savor.

Today we will depart from Derby and travel to the Brownstone, located in Patterson, NJ, for an Octoberfest Celebration. This is a celebration of the Arrival of Autumn! Alex Meiner and his band will set the mood with great drinking, songs and dancing tunes. There will also be German dancing, as well as bell ringing by Alys Schaffer.
Lunch is included which consists of Knockwurst and Roast Chicken served family style, complete with all the fixings. You’ll also enjoy 2 complimentary drinks, and free soda. The Brownstone also has an all-day Boutique Shopping, Door Prizes and 50-50 Raffles.

After lunch we’ll watch Annie Get Your Gun, with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin Annie Oakley is the best shot around, and she manages to support her little brother and sisters by selling the game she hunts. When Col. Buffalo Bill Discovers her he persuades her to join his Wild West Show, Here she falls head over heels for dashing shooting ace Frank Butler., who headlines the show. Butler hightails if off to join a rival show, his bruised male ego leading the way, in a final shoot out with Annie. The rousing, sure-fire finale hits the mark in a testament to the power of female ingenuity.
