Dear Members & Friends,
The Board of Directors of the Derby Historical Society would like to invite you to our Annual Meeting.  The information regarding the meeting is below.

LOCATION:  First Congregational Church, Derby CT
 TIME:   2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
DATE:  Sunday, March 24, 2019 (snow date is March 31)

The meeting will begin with a brief business portion to elect our Officers and Board of Directors followed by an update on our Restoration Project of the General David Humphreys House & Museum.  The General David Humphreys House is our link to the American Revolution.  It serves as our home base for many public events and our award winning “A Day in 1762”, a hands-on colonial history educational program for students in the Valley towns and beyond.

Our presenter this year is Marian O’Keefe, Derby Historical Society Board Emeritus Member and Seymour, CT Town Historian.  Please join Marian as she delivers a wonderful presentation on“The Real P.T. Barnum; Business Man, Museum Owner, Politician, and the Greatest Showman in the World! “

In approximately mid-February, you will receive a letter and a membership form in the mail, if you are on our mailing list.  Membership renewals will be accepted either by mail or at the door.   We encourage you to renew your membership. Your financial support is greatly appreciated and is very much needed to ensure that we are able to continue in our mission of preserving the Valley’s history and culture.

We look forward to seeing you at our Annual Meeting.  Please feel free to extend this invitation to anyone who might be interested in becoming a member of The Society.  Thank you for your continued support of the Derby Historical Society.

*If you have already renewed your membership, or are a life member of the DHS, we appreciate any additional support you may afford to give.
